Foodie Events And Festivals On In Cornwall 2023

Cornwall hosts many tasty, adventurous and fun festivals. Here are a selection of some of the best food festivals and events to be found along the beautiful Cornish coast.


10 April & 13 August– Bude Food Festival

Held on the beautiful grounds of Bude Castle, this festival is on for one day in both spring and summer, from 10am to 6pm. An Artisan Food Market and a selection of Street Food provides you with a great choice of food to try. There will be locally made tasty treats including locally farmed meat, freshly baked bread and cakes, homemade jam and of course the all important flavoured gin, local beer and cider is a must to taste test.


21-23 April – Porthleven Food Festival

This award winning and free entry festival offers three days of exciting chef demos, quality local food traders, feast dinners and evening music. If you desire to immerse yourself in Cornwall’s passion for food then this is the place to visit. Presented in partnership with our friend, talented chef Jude Kereamer, owner of the wonderful Kota restaurant. Jude will be showcasing some of his delicious cooking at the chef’s theatre.


12-14 May – St Ives Food Festival

Held on the stunning Porthminster Beach, this sizeable festival offers culinary experts running food demonstrations and a wide variety of quality local food and beverages to try. As well as a fantastic range of music by talented artists, fun activities and entertainment ensuring a good time for everyone.


Spring Bank Holiday (End Of May) - Cornwall Street Food Festival In Newquay

Tempting cuisines from Indian to burgers, churros to brownies, Mexican to American and delicious drinks including creative cocktails and craft beers. A wide range of sumptuous dishes will be prepared by independent street food traders. Situated just south of Lusty Glaze Beach, you can enjoy gorgeous views of Newquay’s coastline.



25 June – 1July - Mevagissey Feast Week

A celebration has been held at Mevagissey since 1754, what started out as a one day celebration involving a feast tea, children’s sports events and a procession with a band has now evolved into todays annual feast week. There are exhibitions, demonstrations, live music and of course a great selection of fish dishes to taste. Other events include choirs and bands, flora dances, children’s entertainment and competitions. There will also be colourful parades, exciting boat and raft races a fete and a huge firework display!


27 – 30 July - Rock Oyster Festival

Action packed and event filled, this festival located on the scenic Camel Estuary brings together exceptional food, great music and lots of fun. Taste mouth-watering signature dishes and taster plates served up by local restaurants and chefs at the chef tipis. Watch and learn from Michelin Star chefs as they demo on the Pearl stage, along with MasterChef winners. talented local chefs demonstrate creating their signature dishes and try at the chef tipis. Heating up the demonstrations is live fire cooking demos on an open fire followed by BBQs on the beach. For those eager to learn specialist techniques in things such as mixology, preparing fish, coffee, cakes etc just head to the Masterclass tipi and get involved. (Book early to secure a place). There will be street food traders and a range of locally made drinks on offer. Music artists include Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Happy Mondays, Nile Rogers & Chic as well as many others keeping the party going. There are many fun children’s activities running throughout the festival as well as on-site yoga classes and spa massages you can book in for.


15 September – 24 September – Taste Of Scilly Festival

10 days of mouth-watering food and drink experiences across the Iles Of Scilly. A new unique food or drink event is hosted each day, proudly showing local island specialities, locally grown, caught or produced on the Isles. Island hopping safaris, sunset drinks at the beautiful Daymark on St. Martins, socialise around the blazing fire, and indulge in a wealth of knowledge and wine tasting at the magnificent vineyards, trek around the Elizabethan castles and more.
