Our journey to finding this beautifully charismatic restaurant, all started from a delivery of one of our knives that chef jeffery Robinson won in a competition we ran.
As he was based only 30 minutes from our workshop in the beautiful coastal town of flushing, we decided to pop in and deliver it in person. from the moment we walked in the door, you got a sense that it was going to be special.
We managed to get a window seat overlooking the buzzing harbour of Falmouth and were given our menus that change daily with what's available in the local kitchen gardens. knowing that they bake their own bread that's got an incredibly good reputation we thought we most definitely had to start with that.
After the bread and incredibly velvety, creamy butter we had the Hake with spicy nduja and mixed bean stew, as well as tagliatelle in a rich tomato and braised ox cheek sauce. This was then paired exquisitely with an ice cold pint and a cheeky cocktail.
All of the talented chefs and incredibly welcoming front of house staff we met were super friendly and always had a smile.
You can easily see that The harbour house in flushing is a place where an intense focus goes into the smallest details which without doubt results in an incredible dining experience that you won't forget.
